Learn to Skydive Solo

Learning to skydive is an exciting and rewarding experience. Your training combines ground school with practical skydives, where you’ll learn the skills needed to freefall safely, fly your parachute and land with confidence.

As your experience grows you can work towards earning your NZ Skydiving licence. Once you are a licensed skydiver you’ll be able to skydive independently and learn different Skydiving Disciplines. As you continue to develop your skills you’ll have the opportunity to take part in Events and Competitions both in New Zealand, and at many drop zones around the world.

Skydiving is about more than just jumping from an aircraft. It’s also about becoming part of a welcoming and supportive community. Many people discover lifelong friendships through the sport, connecting with fellow skydivers at their local drop zone, around New Zealand and across the world.

Below is a map of New Zealand’s skydiving centres, where you can begin your skydiving journey. Each drop zone offers its own training programmes and facilities, so we encourage you to get in touch directly. They’ll be happy to answer your questions and help you choose the training pathway that’s right for you.
