Becoming a Member
Before you can jump at a New Zealand Skydiving affiliated dropzone, you’ll need a visitor membership. The process is quick, and how you complete it depends on whether you’re already here in New Zealand or registering from overseas. Either way, you start the same way — by registering and paying online — and then follow one of two paths.
Your membership and certificate are valid for 90 days. If you need cover for longer than that, you’ll want a non-visitor membership type instead — [link to membership options].
Step one: register and pay (everyone)
Register on our website and pay your membership fee. This is the same first step for all applicants. Once payment is complete, you’ll choose the option that matches your situation.
Path 1 — I’m already in New Zealand
Choose this if you can complete your registration in person, in the presence of an approved person.
- Make sure you’re with an approved person.
- Complete the application form. The approved person authorises your application and verifies your documents in person.
- Submit. As soon as you do, you’ll receive an automatic email with a temporary certificate — you’re cleared to jump.
Because your identity and documents are checked in person, there’s no waiting on manual review.
Path 2 — I’m registering from outside New Zealand
Choose this if you’re applying before you arrive and won’t have an approved person with you.
- Open the Remote Registration form.
Complete it and upload your required documents [list the documents here — e.g. ID, logbook, licence/rating, third-party cover]. - Your application goes to our Delegation holder for manual review.
- Once approved, your credentials are added to your certificate, which you can download anytime from your profile.
Remote applications are reviewed manually, so allow at least 48 hours before your certificate is ready. We recommend registering well ahead of your first jump.
