Annual Fees
If you want to skydive at an NZ Skydiving affiliated drop zone, you’ll need to pay an annual fee.
Who needs to pay?
- Student parachutists
- Recreational and sport skydivers
- Commercial tandem masters and camera flyers
- Jumpmasters, Instructors, Instructor Examiners and Assessors
- Parachute Technicians
- Parachute Drop Pilots
The following do not pay an annual affiliation fee:
- Tandem passengers
- Visiting sport skydivers jumping on a Temporary Visitor Certificate
Before you pay
Please note:
- Paying your affiliation fee does not authorise you to skydive. You must also hold a valid NZ Skydiving qualification.
- Paying your fee does not renew or revalidate expired certificates or ratings. Please contact an Instructor or Examiner if your qualification has lapsed.
- If you hold more than one qualification, you only pay the highest applicable affiliation fee.
- If you gain additional qualifications during the year, your affiliation category will be upgraded automatically and no additional fee is payable until your next renewal.
- Fees paid during September cover the following affiliation year beginning on 1 October.
- If you join partway through the year, a pro-rata fee may apply.
What does my annual fee support?
- Developing and maintaining training and qualification standards.
- Supporting education and sport development.
- Providing online resources and member services.
- Liaising with regulators and industry partners.
- Delivering NZ Skydiving's Part 149 responsibilities.
- Access to NZ Skydiving sport skydiving events (i.e. NZ Nationals Championships, Skills Camps etc)
- Affiliation with FAI and NZ Flying.
What happens if I don't pay?
If your annual fee is not paid, you cannot exercise the privileges of your certificate, rating or authorisation. In other words, you will not be permitted to skydive.
How do I pay?
Select the appropriate category below to pay your annual fee. You can check the status of your payment afterwards by logging into your account. If you don’t already have an account, you’ll first need to register and log in before completing your payment.
Commercial Tandem Master

For Hire & Reward TMs, Tandem IEs & Assessors.
Pilot Participant
- 2026 -
For Hire & Reward TMs, Tandem IEs & Assessors.
Select this if you are one of the following:
• Drop Pilot and active skydiver
• Drop Pilot Assessor (NZ Skydiving appointment) and active skydiver
Professional Participants
- 2026 -
For Camera Flyers (for commercial tandems);
Jumpmasters, Instructors, Instructor Assessors;
PTs who are also active skydivers.
If you are also a recreational skydiver, your fee covers that too.
If you are also a Commercial Tandem Master, you should pay the Commercial fee instead, which will include all your activities.
Non-Skydiving Pilots

For Drop Pilots & Assessors who are not active skydivers.
If you are also a Commercial Tandem Master, you should pay the Commercial fee instead, which will include all your activities.
Non-Skydiving Professionals

For PTs who are not active skydivers.
If you are also a skydiver but not a Commercial Tandem Master, you should pay the Professional Participant fee instead, which will include your PT and/or pilot activities.
If you are also a Commercial Tandem Master, you should pay the Commercial fee instead, which will include all your activities.
Recreational Participants

For Sport/Recreational Jumpers only.
If you participate in other forms of parachuting activity, you should pay the Commercial fee or the Professional Participant fee instead. You only have to pay one affiliation fee.
Visiting Jumper Registration
You need to register as a user to access the Visitor Certificate Application form. Registration is $95, but the application is free and a temporary certificate is valid for 90 days.
